Soleya Grant for Creations 23

Mrs Wati Maraiwai Talavutu runs Creations 23, a business located in the main street of Ba town (Fiji).

Wati is an artist who specialises in traditional and contemporary art pieces, using masi. From salu salu to flowers, to printed masi, Wati offers a wide range of items which will surely catch your attention. As a way to give back to the community, Wati sources the plain masi from the islands of Vatulele, Moce and Nayau.

In April 2023, Soleya helped Wati open her shop through a grant that allowed the purchase of a printing table, some shelves and a counter for the reception area.
